The Big Kahuna of GASS Events; a 10-week student exchange to Germany. Whilst the majority of the time is spent living with a host family, students also participate in Regional days, Wintercamp, Independant Travel and Berlin Camp. Some students are even fortunate enough to visit their sponsor company in Germany. They take tours around factories, see the head offices and in some cases get taken out to the circus, opera or football.
Students get to experience a German Christmas and if they're lucky, will even get to see snow on Christmas day. They will also be in Germany for St. Nikolaus Tag, New Years Eve and in Berlin for the Night of the Museums. In the past 40 years over 1000 students have completed the exchange. Each returns with their own unique stories to tell, each with new experiences which they will remember for the rest of their lives.
